How much is Wix per month — and what your Wix subscription renews at

Overview & Key Takeaways

Wix's own price list says $17 to $159 a month. What it does not put next to it is what year two costs — and which tier is the cheap-looking one that doubles.

Wix's own pages answer the first half of this question, and every third-party guide repeats the same answer: $17 to $159 per month, on four paid plans, billed annually. That part is easy. The part nobody prints next to it is what the same subscription costs in year two, and that is where the price list and the invoice come apart.

The price list

PlanPer month, billed annuallyStorageWhat the step unlocks
Free$0—hosting, the drag-and-drop editor, no-code design, thousands of templates. Wix branding stays on
Light$172 GBfree domain for 1 year, Light marketing suite, 2 site collaborators
Core$2950 GBaccept payments, Basic eCommerce, scheduling and services, 5 collaborators
Business$39100 GBStandard marketing suite, Standard eCommerce, 10 collaborators
Business Elite$159unlimitedAdvanced marketing and eCommerce, the Advanced developer platform, 100 collaborators

Two things sit under that table and change what it means. First, the displayed prices are for yearly subscriptions, paid in full at the time of purchase — $17 a month is $204 up front — and Wix's own footnote says prices exclude tax, vary by location, and the USD figures are "for reference only". Second, the free domain is a voucher, not a discount: it is valid only with the purchase of a new domain registered through Wix, it cannot be used to renew or extend a domain you already own, and it is not included when you renew a plan or upgrade one.

What the subscription renews at

While a promotion is running, the same table is advertised at the promotional rate with the regular price printed beside it:

PlanAdvertisedRenews atStep
Light$17 — no promotion on this tier$171.0x
Core$14.50$292.0x
Business$19.50$392.0x
Business Elite$79.50$1592.0x

Wix publishes the regular price next to the promotional one, which is almost unheard of and genuinely fair: a customer can compute the year-two cost without leaving the page. "Save 50%" is literally accurate, to the half-dollar. On the Core tier the arithmetic is $14.50 for the first year and $29 for the second, so the two-year cost of the plan you see at $14.50 is $522.

The thing a cheapest-first comparison will never tell you

*Light costs $17 a month and carries no promotion at all. Core — a tier above it — is advertised at $14.50. While that promotion runs, the cheapest plan on the table is not the entry tier: the entry tier is the more expensive of the two, and the plan you are pointed up* to is the one that doubles at renewal.

Nothing about that is hidden. It is simply the shape that a "cheapest first" list sorts away, because the list is sorted on the promotional number and the invoice is not. The full comparison is on the Wix page, and the audited step behind every multiple in the field is in why website builders increase renewal prices after year one.

Two gates worth knowing before you pick a tier

  1. Accepting payments starts at Core ($29 regular). Light to Core is the

step that turns a brochure site into a site that can take money, and it is the most common gate in the audited field — a toll on the customer's success, which costs the vendor nothing to release. The free-domain question has the same shape and is worth reading once: is a free domain for the first year actually free?.

  1. Programmatic access is Business Elite only ($159). The nearest thing to

a developer platform is the top tier, and the gap between Core and Elite is more than five times the price of Core.

As of: 2026-10-21. Every rate on the pricing page is real and published, but this deployment is not connected to a payment provider, so there is no button that takes money.

A one-page site is free for as long as the domain is registered here, and the renewal is the same number as the signup rate. And one thing this page will not pretend to offer: this deployment is not connected to a payment provider, so the tier above — the one that accepts payments — is not something this site sells. A site that has to take money needs a provider, and that is a separate purchase from the hosting.

If you are already on Wix

  • Check the rate your plan renews at, not the rate you signed up at. The

two are printed side by side on the pricing page, and they are not the same number.

  • Your site plan, your domain and your business email renew separately —

Wix's own help centre says each has to be managed or cancelled on its own — and turning off auto-renewal leaves the service running until the current expiry date rather than cancelling it immediately.

  • Ask for the refund before you cancel. The people complaining loudest

about an increase in the forums say the first thing to do is ask, and the standing advice in one of the busiest threads is that a refund is available if you request it.
